Reza Heydari, a member of the board of directors of the Tehran Computer Industry Organization and the executive secretary of Elcomp, congratulated the activists in this field on the occasion of Journalist Day and thanked Sedif Beikzadeh, CEO of the International Exhibitions Joint Stock Company, and Ali Hakim Javadi, head of the National Computer Industry Organization, for their support in holding this event.

Referring to the change in the exhibition time, he said: “Elcomp, which was supposed to be held on June 17, was canceled due to the prevailing circumstances, but with the assistance of the Exhibitions Joint Stock Company, the new time was set from October 23 to 26. This decision was made in a situation where the exhibition calendar was full until the end of the year and re-coordination was very difficult. During this period, 500 domestic companies and about 70 foreign companies will be present. Due to recent events, a number of companies were hesitant at first, but after consultations, about half of them returned and will be present at the exhibition.”

Referring to the side programs of the exhibition, Heydari added: “This year, all the side events of Elcomp will be held. Including the Tavannak event with the support of the Nasr Organization, three special stations for holding talks for which 150 people have registered so far, the Elcom AI specialized hall for companies active in the field of artificial intelligence, the Smart Government Hall in Hall 27, and the Startup Competitions. It has also been agreed with the National Organization for the Development of Brilliant Talents (SAMPAD) to hold the second part of the startup team competitions with the participation of SAMPAD students.”

In conclusion, referring to this year’s slogan, he said: “The 28th Elcomp exhibition will be held with the slogan of smart investment and sustainable development and with a special approach to cybersecurity, and special specialized halls have been planned for this sector. We hope that by implementing these programs, we will witness a magnificent and different exhibition.”

Heidari also said about the features of the 28th exhibition and the presence of companies: “The date of the Elcomp exhibition has been moved away from the Telecom exhibition to allow the presence of all activists in the field of digital economy and information technology. The decision to participate in the exhibition is the responsibility of the companies themselves and is in line with their business strategy and goals. One of the distinguishing features of this period is the launch of a specialized artificial intelligence hall and a focus on educational content and sales alongside the exhibition. Sections for cybersecurity and the presence of teenagers and technology enthusiasts have also been planned. These programs, along with the business resilience plan that the organization is pursuing, are trying to compensate for past damage and support the development of companies’ activities.” In another part of the meeting, Heidari explained the financial and security conditions of the companies: “The board of directors decided that companies can make payments in rials, and this includes all domestic and foreign firms. Domestic producers benefit from preferential tariffs to support them in their competition with foreign companies, with a 35-40% discount in rials compared to similar foreign costs. Foreign agencies run by domestic firms can also pay in the same way, and the necessary facilities have been provided for them.
